Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba delivered a rousing dressing room speech to his France teammates in their Nations League final against Spain.
Didier Deschamps’ side went behind in Sunday’s final but were able to stage a comeback with goals from Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappe to lift the trophy.
However, with the match goalless at half time, Pogba took the opportunity to give a pep talk to the France players ahead of a crucial 45 minutes. ‘We have to be aggressive. It starts from the front,’ Pogba said in the dressing room.
‘Everyone has to be involved. We recover the ball then we attack. ‘Yes, we will have to run, they have a lot of quality but we also have the quality.
‘Once we have the ball we need to keep it and we will hurt them. ‘In the second half we need to press well and be aggressive.’
